Week 6

Spirit Led P4

Big Idea

This week we looked at how the Spirit spoke to 3 individuals in the book of Acts. If you haven't already read chapter 8,9, and 10 of Acts. All 3 accounts are awesome testimonies of how obedience to the Spirit's leading, can have major impact on the lives of others as well as our own. Some key points were: the Spirit will always lead us away from selfishness and to others. The Spirit sees what we could never see. And Spirit led people are used to further the kingdom of God.

Discussion Questions

  • Which of the 3 accounts in Acts spoke to your heart this week?
  • In all accounts the individuals were praying, searching scripture, being available and desiring the will of God in their lives. How do we do this today? Do we recognize when we are too busy?

Prayer Focus

"Lord we want to be available for you to use us. Help us to be willing and quick to say yes to your Spirit's leading. May we recognize when you are speaking and become more sensitive to your voice."

Next Steps

Continue to listen and be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Jesus did not leave us comfortless but gave us a helper, another of the same kind, who would be a guide for us.

Leader Tip

There may be people in your group who have questions regarding the Holy Spirit and come from various backgrounds and opinions regarding the Holy Spirit. The Scripture gives us perfect knowledge of who He is, why we need Him, and His role in our lives. Give them a chance to ask questions, guide them to scripture.
